Advent 2021: A Season of Hope!

Please join us for Advent and Christmas at First United Methodist Church as we prepare for and celebrate Jesus’ birth. Most of us are very good at decorating and preparing our homes for Christmas; but how well do we prepare our hearts? The activities, ministries, Scripture readings, musical offerings, and worship services detailed on these pages are designed to help us prepare our hearts for the arrival of the Prince of Peace, the Christ child. I invite you to take advantage of these activities and suggestions to make the season holy, and to keep it about Jesus. Of course, the high points of our Christmas celebrations are our three Christmas Eve Candlelight worship services. Each service (5:00, 7:00 and 11:00) celebrates in unique ways, and includes the singing of carols, and concludes with the entire congregation holding lighted candles and singing “Silent Night.” Let there be Christmas!
