Candace Wilson, Education Director

Candace Wilson is the Education Director at The First United Methodist Church of Seguin, Texas. Her position encompasses all adult and children's programming ministries. She served for six years at Grace UMC in Corpus Christi and six years at the Corpus Christi District Office. She was commissioned a Parish Christian Educator in January, 1994.

Her credentials include: Graduate of San Antonio Dist. UMC "Vision Trek" Program, 2003 Methodist Healthcare Ministries of S. TX "Parent's Helping Parents" Vol. Site Coordinator of the Year and P.H.P. Facilitator, Int'l Council Graduate of Christian Believer Study, Past President & V.P. of the Guadalupe County Ministerial Association, Graduate of Project ADEPT (Alcohol & Drug Education in the Parishes of Texas), Certified Lay Speaker, Parish Christian Educator,  Disciple Bible Studies Graduate, S.W. TX 1988 Women's Emmaus Walk 82-C, 1995 General Council on Finance and Administration Course of Study Certified United Methodist Church Secretary.

Keith J. Robinson, Director of Music, Choir Director, Children’s Music Director

Keith serves FUMC-Seguin as Director of Music, Adult Choir Director and Children’s Music Director. He says, “Learning more about our relationship with God through music is a great gift. One that I feel very fortunate to share with our congregation; with children and adults alike.” In addition to his work at FUMC-Seguin, Keith also teaches band at Jim Barnes Middle School, also in Seguin, a position that allows him to encourage and nurture young students on their path to a lifetime of loving music.

Keith is a 1985 graduate of Texas A & I University - Kingsville, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. He has taught music from elementary ages through high school and performed as tubist in the Air Force Band of the West. He also served a year with VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America), in Oregon, overseeing the coordination of volunteer readers and young children. Keith is currently the tuba player for Hill Country Brass.

Keith is married to Nelwyn and has a daughter, Jillian, who came to join their family from India at age two. He loves to laugh, sing and play the tuba - not necessarily all at the same time!



Robin Hogue, Organist

Robin has been the organist at First United Methodist Church, Seguin, Texas since 1999. She has been a Professional Musician for 26 years as Harpist, Pianist, Organist, and Teacher. Robin graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor of Music Degree. Her major was in Pipe Organ Performance and her minor was in Piano, Harp, and Voice.

Her credentials include: American Guild of Organists, San Antonio Chapter; Women’s Club of San Antonio-President; Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs-State Musician-Piano, Keyboard, Harp; Alamo District of Texas Federation of Women’s Clubs-District Musician, Second Vice President-Membership; San Antonio Federation of Women’s Club-Immediate Past-President and Federation Counselor; Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary-Federation Representative; San Antonio Musical Club-Membership Chairman; San Antonio Women’s Breakfast Club

Robin resides in San Antonio with her husband and family.
